Emmanuel Alvarez Agis
Founding Partner - Director of Macroeconomics
Bachelor’s Degree in Economics at UBA. He obtained his Master’s Degree in Economics at UBA and he is currently in charge of coordinating the Economics career of studies at Universidad Nacional Arturo Jauretche. From 2013 until 2015, he held the position of Deputy Minister of Finance and Sub-secretary of Economic Planning from 2011 until 2013. He worked for the UN as a consultant and has lectured at many different universities across the country.
He developed his professional career in the public, private and academic sectors. In 2002, Emmanuel Alvarez Agis started his career of studies. In 2006, he began to teach at UBA History of Economic Thought first and, later on, Macroeconomics. He entered the area of Strategic Marketing Management at Edenor in 2006 to conduct research on electric energy consumption.
In 2009, he obtained the position of Senior Economist in the Economic Development Direction at the Ministry of National Economy. At the same time, he was a researcher in the Macroeconomics field for CENDA and assessed the UN on the subjects of income policies and anti-inflationary measures.
In 2011, he was appointed Sub-secretary of Macroeconomics Planning. He occupied the position of Director in the following companies: MACRO, EDENOR, PAMPA and TRANSENER on behalf of the Argentine State. In the year 2013, Emmanuel Alvarez Agis was appointed Argentina’s Deputy Minister of Economy.
Finally, in 2016, he began to participate in the academic coordination of the Economics career of studies at Universidad Nacional Arturo Jauretche and co-founded PxQ Consulting Firm with Cynthia de Paz, where he currently directs the area of Macroeconomics.
Cynthia De Paz
Founding Partner - Director of Data Analytics
Bachelor’s Degree in Economics at UBA. She obtained her Master of Public Policy Degree at Facultad Latinoamericana de Ciencias Sociales and she currently specializes in Data Mining and Business Intelligence. She is an experienced economist in the public sector as well as in the private sector.
Her professional career has been mainly oriented to microeconomic analysis, sectoral and regional analysis of the Argentine economy and she has also specialized in International Trade and finance.
In 2008, she was a senior economist in the Board of Productive Policies Development coordination.
In 2013, she was YPF Finance Director’s consultant and, in the same year, she was appointed National Director of Sectoral Studies. This great achievement led her to obtain a promotion and she became Sub-secretary of Economic Planning and Development. She occupied that role until 2015 when she was summoned by the Banco de Inversión y Comercio Exterior (BICE).
Finally, in 2016, Cynthia De Paz co-founded PxQ Consulting Firm with Emmanuel Alvarez Agis where
she was also in charge of the development of the Data Analytics area. Her expertise in data science has made this area a strategic partner for the clients of the private sector- who generate huge amounts of data. The combination of new technologies, statistical techniques and automatic machine learning allows our Data Analytics area to combine our clients’ external and internal information to make diagnoses based on the analysis and understanding of large volumes of data.
